Our organisation takes care for more than 25 orphans or children from very poor families. Himal Vision provides food, clothes, medical care and school fees for their education.
Some of the children live in the orphanage in Kathmandu, some with other families and some older ones on their own.
Mainly we are searching for long term sponsors for all of these children. A sponsor should try to support a specific child for the duration of it’s education.
Himal Vision supports an elderly community in Parphing near Kathmandu, Nepal.
The elderly live in a loose community in poverty. They spend their days turning prayer wheels and reciting mantra’s for the well being of all sentient beings.
Most of them have no relatives to take care for them.
Himal Vision provides running water and electricity for them.
Furthermore we want to provide medical care as well.
In mountain area’s Nepal’s public schools only provide a very basic education.
The native language in the high mountain villages is Tibetan, but at schools only Nepali language is taught. Teachers are mostly coming from the lower places, they don’t speak Tibetan.
Teachers salaries are low, most of them depend on other income too. Therefore they only teach if they have time to do so.
Many children are brought to Kathmandu for education.
They loose their roots and leave their parents.
